The anticipated new Hollywood movie of Sherlock Gnomes has featured two iconic images from the Philippines – the jeepney and the Bohol Chocolate Hills.
The newly released movie art of Sherlock Gnomes asks, “Where in the world are the missing gnomes?”
And to exotic Philippines they apparently went, with their bevy of gnomes riding the colourful local jeepney amidst the backdrop of the Chocolate Hills of Bohol. The iconic jeepney has been featured in various publicity stunts of international personalities including Coldplay, and even the Pope.
The animated adventure of garden gnomes Gnomeo and Juliet comes back on the big screen after 7 years, this time to solve the mystery of the disappearing garden gnomes from London homes.
Of course, when there is investigating to be done in London then the best recourse is to turn to the legendary detectives – Sherlock Gnomes and his sidekick Watson.
The movie sequel features the voices of returning cast, James McAvoy, Emily Blunt, Michael Caine, Maggie Smith, Stephen Merchant and Ozzy Osbourne, plus Johnny Depp as Sherlock Gnomes, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Watson and Mary J. Blige as Irene.
Sherlock Gnomes screens in Philippine theatres on March 21 announced United International Pictures Philippines, and in US theatres on March 23.
