Fresh from winning his gold medal in Melbourne, Australia in February, Filipino gymnast Carlos Edriel Yulo bagged another medal – a bronze this time from the 2019 FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Cup in Doha, Qatar.
Yulo won the third prize after garnering a score of 14.266 on March 22, Friday (March23, Saturday, Manila time).
It was also in Qatar when Carlos Yulo made history for the Philippines after winning a bronze medal at the 2018 World Gymnastics Championships.
The results of the Men’s Floor Exercise Finals:
Shatilov, Alexander – Israel: 14.633
Zapata, Rayderley – Spain: 14.433
Yulo, Carlos Edriel – Philippines: 14.266
The Pinoy gymnast earned 14.600 points in the qualification round to make it to the No. 1 spot going into the finals.
With his accommodated points and winnings, Yulo is set to represent the country in the upcoming Southeast Asian Games scheduled to be held in the Philippines late this year.
