Pinay jin Jenna Kaila Napolis bagged a bronze medal in the Jiu-Jitsu International Federation (JJIF) World Championships held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
Napolis came in third place in the women’s -52kg division of the world tournament held at the Zayed Sports City’s Jiu-Jitsu Arena in Abu Dhabi from November 3 to 11, 2021.
The Filipina national athlete scored two submissions, defeating Kazakhstan’s Aigerim Kuatkyzy on her way to the podium.
Napolis thanked her fans for supporting her on her Facebook account.
“Heartbreaking but so many reasons to be grateful. So many obstacles leading here but still we made it here to compete and move well,” Jenna Kaila Napolis said in a Facebook post.
Jenna Kaila Napolis won the first gold medal for Team Philippines at the 2019 World Martial Arts Mastership Games held in Chungju, South Korea.
