The Philippine SME Business Expo (PHILSME) has started its two-day fair today at the SMX Convention Center Manila in Pasay City with a showcase of 120 exhibitors offering about 180 products and services.
True to its reputation as the biggest B2B expo, conference, and networking platform in the country, nearly 10,000 people registered to attend the one-stop-shop of business solutions to help small and medium enterprises, start-ups, and entrepreneurs boost their business growth and foster new relationships.
The expo features over 180 business solutions across various sectors such as finance, banking, advertising, healthcare, HR & recruitment, IT, payroll solutions, logistics, co-working spaces, franchising, telecommunications, AI solutions, Tourism, Business outsourcing solutions, Web Design services, and many more.
The PHILSME Business Expo officially opened on May 10, 2024, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by Asia’s Best News Presenter and Good News Pilipinas EIC Rico Hizon who rallied the crowd to appreciate SMEs which he pointed out were the backbone of the Philippine economy, providing livelihood to over 99% of employed Filipinos.
Hizon’s statement was echoed by speakers from the Department of Finance, Esquire Financing, PLDT Enterprise, Odoo, and AutoCount who extolled the value of SMEs which they hope to help grow into major companies.
The 14th edition of PHILSME is marking the 11th year since Mediacom Solutions founder David Abrenilla started staging trade fairs in the Philippines. His widow, Trixie Esguerra-Abrenilla, now leads the company as its CEO and Managing Director.
In a presser after the opening, Esguerra-Abrenilla said she intends to continue her husband’s legacy in supporting SMEs. “Our commitment extends beyond the expo. We strive to continue supporting SMEs by helping them become aware of the latest business solutions, sharing exclusive offers they can take advantage of from various service providers, and providing them exclusive opportunities for the PHILSME Business Network,” she shared.
The PHILSME Business Expo doors open from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, welcoming all entrepreneurs, business owners, and C-level executives seeking products to grow and scale their businesses. Visitors can register for the two-day event online, free of charge.
