Fourteen of the Philippines’ tourist services were cited by the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Tourism Standards Awards 2023-2025 for outstanding tourism businesses and destinations in the region that have complied with the international association’s tourism standards.
ASEAN member countries including the Philippines were honored in four award categories including the ASEAN Homestay Award, ASEAN Community-Based Tourism, ASEAN Public Toilet Award, and the ASEAN Spa Services Award.
Awards given out during ceremonies held on February 5, 2023, at the Marriott Yogyakarta Hotel, Indonesia, include:

The ASEAN Tourism Standards Awards were given during the 2023 ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) in Indonesia, an event where the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) Philippines and the Department of Tourism (DOT) reported generating over 100M Philippine pesos in sales leads.
The Philippines’ tourism agencies showcased the country’s best offerings at the ASEAN Tourism Forum, the biggest annual tourism event in the region, held from February 2-5, 2023, in Yogyakarta.
Sixteen local exhibitors from the airline industry, tour operators, and accommodations participated in the ATF to network and engage with 115 international buyers at the ATF Travel Exchange (TRAVEX).
In 2022, Philippine hotels received the ASEAN Green Tourism Standards Awards for sustainable tourism practices. In 2019, Baguio, Iloilo, and San Carlos City in Negros bagged the ASEAN Clean Tourist City badges.
