Filipino pet care brand entrepreneur Georgianna “George” Carlos has won the inaugural Lazada Forward Women Awards which recognized six outstanding women sellers across Southeast Asia.
The e-commerce platform hosted the Lazada Forward Women Awards 2021 on International Women’s Day, March 8, to celebrate the achievements of inspiring female trailblazers including George who won in the Enterprising Seller category for her own brand, Fetch! Naturals.
George, a former teacher, was awarded for her retail business that offers premium pet care and grooming products made with locally-sourced natural ingredients that are good for animals and the environment.
The Pinay business owner shared her insights and journey during the awards ceremony that was streamed live on the Lazada LazLive channel to viewers in Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam.
“I am really honored to be given this opportunity by Lazada. I am hoping that those who get to see this interview be inspired, especially women who are exploring or considering a career path in entrepreneurship,” says the founder of Fetch! Naturals, George Carlos.
As a passionate animal lover, George tried to find a solution to help her dog who was having skin issues due to irritation caused by chemical-laden products.
According to George, her environment-friendly company started when she discovered that her bichon frise, Drogo, responded well to a dog shampoo that contained neem as an active ingredient and is a plant that is widely available in the Philippines.
The quest for the perfect product has led George to launch her own revolutionary pet care brand in 2016. Since then, the company has opened two retail locations in Manila and Los Angeles, and the products can be found in over 30 locations across the Philippines.
Georgianna Carlos, co-founder and CEO of Fetch! Naturals, earlier made it to Forbes Asia’s “30 Under 30” 2019 list, for her eco-friendly pet care company with products that use all-natural ingredients.
