The remake of “Pangako Sa ‘Yo (Promise To You)” will be aired in countries speaking French and Spanish.
The dubbing of the series into the two international languages was announced by Star Creatives Ad Prom Manager Mico Del Rosario.
The TV series remake stars Daniel Padilla and Kathryn Bernardo as young lovers who are thought to be half-siblings sired by former lovers Jodi Sta. Maria and Ian Veneracion. The plot revolves around switched identities, revenge, poverty and politics.
The original primetime soap opera series which aired in 2000-2002 is widely acknowledged as the first Philippine teleserye. The series garnered an all-time highest rating for a Filipino TV series finale episode, posting a 64.9% audience share. Pangako Sa ‘Yo launched its young stars, Jericho Rosales and Kristine Hermosa, into stardom and a real-life romance.
The 2015 remake aired on Philippine TV from May 2015- February 2016.
