Cyrille Payumo of Pampanga successfully bagged and brought back the Miss Tourism International crown to the Philippines after being declared as the pageant’s winner in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The Kapampangan beauty pageant titleholder is the 5th Miss Tourism International crown winner from the Philippines after Jannie Alipo-on in 2017, Angeli Dione Gomez in 2013, the late Rizzini Alexis Gomez in 2012, and Maria Esperanza Manzano in 2000.
The Filipina beauty shined among 38 candidates from all over the world and won the Miss Tourism International 2019/2020 title during the coronation night held on November 8.
The 22-year old Tourism major from the Holy Angel University was the Mutya Pilipinas 2019 1st Runner-up who was afterward appointed to replace the country’s original pageant representative Tyra Rae Florito Goldman due to citizenship issues.
In the international tilt, Cyrille Payumo also took home the Best in National Costume award for showcasing an intricately-designed terno bearing the colors of the Philippine flag designed by Rich Sabinian and created by Kapampangan inmates from the Angeles City Jail.
The Filipina beauty queen wowed the judges and audience as she walked the Miss Tourism International stage in her peacock-inspired gown created by Benj Leguiab, the same designer who dressed Miss Intercontinental 2018 Karen Gallman and Miss Tourism World 2019 Intercontinental Francesca Taruc.
