Pinoy-pop groups are headlining the first-ever Tugatog Filipino Music Festival this June 2022.
The upcoming event bearing the Filipino word “Tugatog” – meaning “peak” or “summit” is also a play on the words “tugtog” (play) the sound of a beat or heartbeat (tug-tug) – will gather both prominent and rising Filipino artists in one virtual stage with the spotlight on the phenomenal success of P-pop or Pinoy pop music.
Among the confirmed acts performing in the online live music festival are Pinoy acts hailed as Billboard chart-toppers ALAMAT and BGYO, along with Bini, Litz, MNL48, PPop Generation, Press Hit Play, VXON, and 1st One, with more artists in the line-up to be announced in the coming weeks leading to the event.
The Tugatog Filipino Music Festival production of Ant Savvy Creatives and Entertainment Inc. presented the event during its grand media conference, saying the music event aims to celebrate the rising genre of Pinoy music and the success of artists in the P-pop genre who are making waves not just locally, but also internationally.
The festival was inspired by the recent success of P-pop acts who have topped global music charts and achieved international recognition.
Audiences can also expect to see fresh takes on their favorite songs from the artists as well as special artist collaborations within the line-up.
“This year, we’re leveling up once again with the first-ever Tugatog Filipino Music Festival. We will be combining the best elements of a live performance with a visually stunning cinematic experience to encapsulate the energy and magic of P-Pop, both as music and as performance,” Festival Show Director Miggy Tanchanco said during the grand media conference on February 22, 2022.
“Ever since we made the announcement about the festival and its line-up, the fans have been clamoring for a showcase of partnerships and collaborations and we are putting together a show with elements that will highlight exactly that: the way these groups can shine on their own while jiving so well with other P-Pop groups,” Tanchanco added.
The Tugatog Filipino Music Festival will be streamed online via TicketMelon on June 18, 2022.
Tickets are now available on the TicketMelon website. Premier tickets are at Php 1,800.00. Special exclusive content is also in store for VIP ticket holders along with access to the stream priced at Php 2,700.00 per ticket.
