Filipino-American Hollywood singer-actress Olivia Rodrigo has excited Filipino fans after she included the Philippines in her GUTS World Tour.
The 21-year-old pop star announced the good news in social media posts on September 10, saying she was coming to the country for the first time for her concert for a cause.
The Grammy winner will hold her highly anticipated show on October 5, 2024, at the Philippine Arena in Bocaue, Bulacan.
“MANILA!!! [Star Emoji] i’m soooo excited to visit the Philippines for the first time for a very special Silver Star Show on the GUTS world tour on October 5th, presented by American Express. tix are on sale Saturday at 10AM local time, and all net ticket proceeds will support my Fund 4 Good. Get more info at Live Nation,” Olivia shared on her social media pages.
The fans of the lead actress in “High School Musical: The Series” rejoiced in this development since the Philippines was not included in the initial list in the first announcements about her world tour last September 2023 and May 2024.
Her supporters are also pleased with the price of concert tickets, priced at Php1,500 each.
The concert’s proceeds will go to Olivia Rodrigo’s Fund 4 Good, a global initiative she launched in February 2024 focused on “building an equitable and just future for all women and girls.”
The tickets will be on sale beginning September 15 and the redemption will be from September 28 to October 4 in any SM Tickets outlets.
