Mister Philippines Kenneth Cabungcal has won first runner-up at the recently concluded Man of the World Pageant 2024.
The Filipino model from Negros Oriental bested other candidates from different countries and hailed first runner-up during the grand coronation last July 26 held at Winford Resort and Casino in Manila.
Aside from the Top 5 placement, Cabungcal also took home some major awards from the international male beauty pageant.
- Gold Medal – Best in Formal Wear
- Silver Medal – Man of World Congeniality
- Silver Medal – Best in Fashion of the Word
- Silver Medal – Best in National Costume
Here are the results of this year’s Man of the World pageant:
- Winner – Sergio Azuga, Venezuela
- First Runner-up – Kenneth Cabungcal, Philippines
- Second Runner-up – Gwen Jegouzo, France
- Third Runner-up – Fernando Ezequiel, Puerto Rico
- Fourth Runner-up – Sebastian Mora, Ecuador
The Philippines has yet to win the title but has been placing in the semifinals since the pageant started in 2017.
With his first runner-up placement in this year’s Man of the World pageant, Cabungcal has now joined the list of Filipino male pageant contenders who recently brought honor to the Philippines.
Just last July 4, Guam-born half-Filipino Brandon Espiritu made history after placing in the Top 3 of Mister Supranational 2024, the highest placement of a Filipino representative in the male beauty pageant since 2016, in Poland.
Furthermore, Ryan Kristopher Sacopon of Batangas won Mister Culture International 2024 in Indonesia, while Jupheter Franco of General Santos City took home the Mister Continental World 2024 title in Thailand.
