Filipina actress-singer Nadine Lustre has been featured on a digital billboard in Times Square to promote Filipino music in Spotify’s EQUAL Music Program.
Lustre shared a photo of the music streaming platform’s new ad shown in New York City’s famous Times Square via Instagram on April 30, 2021.
“we made it to nyc fam @carelessph! Check out the EQUAL Philippines Playlist now on @spotify 💚” Nadine Lustre wrote.
Spotify put up Lustre’s billboard to promote a series of playlists for its EQUAL initiative, which aims to foster gender equity for women artists around the world.
Other artists that were shown on the billboard include Thai singer-songwriter Bowkylion, and Indian artists Shalmali and Sunidhi Chauhan.

The chart-topping Pinay singer and model is the cover artist for Spotify’s EQUAL playlist created for the Philippines.
Fellow Kapamilya actor-singer James Reid took to Instagram to congratulate Lustre on her newest achievement.
“Congrats Nadine. Spotify billboard up in NYC!” James Reid said through the Instagram Stories feature.
Nadine Lustre’s single “Wildest Dreams” is the first track on Spotify’s “EQUAL Philippines” playlist, which also includes songs by Moira dela Torre, August Wahh, Sarah Geronimo, syd hartha, Clara Benin, ena mori, and other Filipina artists.
Reid’s music video for his song with Filipino-Canadian group Manila Grey, “Backhouse Ballin‘” was recently featured in a digital billboard in Universal Studios in Los Angeles, California.
Filipino celebrity Heart Evangelista has also been featured on an advertising billboard showcasing Filipino fashion at the iconic Times Square in New York.
