Eat Bulaga, the Philippines’ longest-running noontime variety show, will soon be seen in Myanmar with its own version of Dabarkads.
Eat Bulaga announced on July 30 the awarding of its second franchise to Myanmar. The Philippine television program was first franchised to Indonesia in 2012 as “Eat Bulaga! Indonesia” with local hosts including Indonesia-based Filipino, Leo Consul.
Amidst celebrations for its 40th anniversary, the show’s originators “Bossing” Vic Sotto and Joey de Leon went on stage and introduced Captain Aung Po of Eat Bulaga Myanmar.
Eat Bulaga presented “Eat Bulaga Myanmar” saying, “Ngayon pati ang mga taga Myanmar ma-experience na ang isang libo’t isang tuwa! (Now even Myanmar will experience a thousand and one joys!)” – referring to a line from the show’s theme song.
SEND cheers in the comments below for Eat Bulaga and the people of Myanmar!
