Martin Nievera and sister Vicki’s Facebook Live show “Quarantwins” marked its 100th Facebook Live episode with CNN Philippines’ Rico Hizon.
Nievera, a celebrated Filipino singer and host, and his twin sister were interviewed on Hizon’s The Final Word on September 1, 2020, just before their 100th episode and on the day which also marked the start of the world’s longest Christmas season, celebrated in the Philippines.
Martin shared how they started Quarantwins and performed for free to keep people company and keep them at home while under community quarantine to stop the spread of the coronavirus disease.
“Just to give some good vibes from our house into their house,” said Martin.
“We’re very very excited. It’s been fun for us. We enjoy this. We did this growing up,” added Vicki.
The Nievera Quarantwins enjoined Hizon, who returned to the Philippines in March 2020 after 25 years in international news broadcasting, to sing for the show as part of the 100th episode celebration.
Martin and Rico had previously performed an FB Live duet of Nievera’s 1994 hit, Each Day With You. Their new duet had them singing another Martin hit, Pain.
