Filipino actor Martin del Rosario shined in the recently concluded Asian Television Awards (ATA), taking home the Best Leading Male Performance – Digital trophy.
The award-winning actor was hailed for his excellent portrayal of his gay role in the film “Born Beautiful” of Cignal TV directed by Perci Intalan and written by multi-awarded filmmaker Jun Lana.
The 27-year-old GMA Kapuso contract artist bested his co-nominees who are great actors from Thailand.
In his social media, Martin shared his photo with the trophy he won during the awarding ceremony held at Resorts World Manila on January 10.
“Truly honored to receive the Best Leading Male Performance Award from the Asian Television Awards digital (trophy emojis),” Martin wrote on his Instagram post.
Martin’s post was flooded with cheers from his supporters and friends from the entertainment industry such as international Filipino actors Aicelle Santos and Joseph Marco.
Martin del Rosario is currently seen on television playing the role of antagonist Jared to Asian Star Prize awardee Alden Richards in the primetime series, The Gift.
Pinoy basketball anime series Barangay 143 also won at the 2020 Asian TV Awards.
