Maine Mendoza’s debut single “Parang Kailan Lang” is a certified hit, topping five consecutive MYX Hit Charts.
The social media influencer’s song has been in the top spot of the MYX Daily Top 10 for 28 days.
The first Filipina to collaborate twice with MAC Cosmetics released the song on YouTube on March 26, 2020, under the Universal Records label. The music video has since been viewed 620,000 times. The song is also available on Spotify and Apple Music.
“Parang Kailan Lang” is composed by Eunice Jorge of Filipino electro-pop rock band Gracenote, who also provided the instrumentation.
Mendoza describes the song in an Inquirer interview as “about reminiscing and moving on from the past. To be more specific, it’s about a girl reminiscing about her past with someone—hence the title”.
“I’m happy I got to release a song in my time here in the industry. But I’m happier at how some people appreciate the song for what it is. I hope I get to release some more soon!” she added.

Nakakatuwa na marami tayong natulungan na pamilya sa hirap ng panahon. Maraming salamat po!!” she tweeted about the crowdfunding drive that started on March 19.
