Popular celebrity endorser and social media influencer Maine Mendoza and the Eat Bulaga Lenten Specials shoot team went on social media to pay tribute to Apo Whang Od, the 102-year-old tattoo legend from Kalinga.
Mendoza, recently awarded as Barbie’s Most Inspiring Filipina Celebrity, multi-awarded actor Paolo Ballesteros, and Eat Bulaga posted Instagram photos with the legendary “mambabatok,” the recipient of the 2018 Dangal ng Haraya for Intangible Cultural Heritage from the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) – while on a shoot for the noontime variety show’s Lenten Specials.
Pictures of Ballesteros getting a tattoo from Apo Whang Od were posted by Eat Bulaga Twitter as their “tribal tattoo experience.”
