Celebrity Maine Mendoza, mountain climber Carina Dayondon, and Philippine film and television icon Charo Santos led the awardees of the Most Inspiring Filipinas given by Barbie-maker Mattel and its Philippine distributor, Richprime Global as part of the Dream Gap Project to inspire young girls with women role models.
Barbie’s celebration of International Women’s Month in March had Mattel identifying women role models around the world, including the Philippines.
Mendoza’s manager Rams David went on social media to confirm the Mac Cosmetics endorser’s receiving her plaque as Barbie’s Most Inspiring Filipina Celebrity.
In the Philippine awarding coinciding with Women’s Day in early March, nine women received their own plaques:
