The LRT-1 Cavite Extension Phase 1 has officially launched, adding five new stations and extending the line by 6.2 kilometers. This development connects Baclaran Station in Pasay City to Dr. Santos (formerly Sucat) Station in Parañaque City. The extension aims to serve up to 600,000 passengers daily and reduce travel time significantly.

New Stations Under Phase 1

- MIA Road Station
- PITX Station
- Ninoy Aquino Avenue Station
- Dr. Santos (formerly Sucat) Station
These stations are part of the 27-kilometer rail line, now with 25 stations, up from 20.

The Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC) maintains the following train schedules:
- Weekdays:

- First train: 4:30 AM (Dr. Santos and Fernando Poe Jr. Stations)
- Last train: 10:00 PM (Dr. Santos), 10:15 PM (Fernando Poe Jr.)
- Weekends and Holidays:

- Distance fare: Php 1.21 per kilometer

Future Developments
Phase 2 and 3 will extend the LRT-1 line to Bacoor, Cavite, with new stations in Las Piñas, Zapote, and Niog. Upon completion, travel time from Pasay City to Cavite will be reduced to 25–30 minutes, compared to the current 1.5 hours.

The project is a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) that enhances Metro Manila’s connectivity to southern areas, eases traffic congestion, and adds 80,000 daily passengers to the LRT-1’s ridership of 323,000.
