LPU Batangas Senior High Students Win 6 Golds, 2 Trophies at World Scholar’s Cup in Yale

Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU) Batangas Senior High School students achieved a remarkable feat at the World Scholar’s Cup Tournament of Champions (WSC TOC) at Yale University in Connecticut, USA. The team brought home 2 trophies and 16 medals including 6 golds and 10 silvers, showcasing excellence in debate, writing, and teamwork on the global stage.

Representing LPU Batangas, Precious Nicole D. Calatong (STEM Medical 1B), Ann Margaret F. Lumanglas (STEM Engg 1B), and Shan Allen Kristoffer S. Beron (STEM Engg 2A) competed against over 2,700 scholars from around the world. Their achievements brought Filipino pride to their school, province, and the Philippines.

The delegation was led by Dan Emerson V. Desiderio, Area Chair of Languages and Social Sciences, and Dr. Jamie Lee F. Mendoza, High School Principal. These mentors played a vital role in preparing the students for both the Bangkok Qualifying Round and the prestigious Tournament of Champions.
