The production marks Salonga’s first West End run in 27 years. The Filipino music artist last appeared on West End for the musical “Les Miserables”.
Produced by Cameron Mackintosh, “Old Friends” pays tribute to the extraordinary legacy of stage musical composer Stephen Sondheim who passed away at the age of 91.
Stephen Sondheim’s “Old Friends” will have a limited 16-week run from September 16, 2023, to January 6, 2024, at the West End’s Gielgud Theatre.
The celebrated Filipina singer and actor earlier starred together with the world’s musical stars in an online concert tribute to celebrate Stephen Sondheim’s 90th birthday.
Last year, Lea Salonga went on tour in the United Kingdom with her Dream Again Concert Tour.
