The Philippines’ newest Special Economic Zone Institute was launched Monday in Batangas State University.
Dubbed the BatStateU Knowledge, Innovation, and Science Technology (KIST) Park, the new IT Park in Batangas City was launched on July 20, 2020, in a virtual ceremony streamed live on the university’s Facebook page.
The BatStateU KIST Park was set up through a memorandum with the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) and is mandated to produce Filipinos equipped with world-class multiple skills.
The KIST Park located at the university’s Science, Technology, Engineering, and Environment Research (STEER) Hub will host knowledge-sharing between the university’s researchers, start-ups, and emerging industries, and is expected to spearhead industry-driven and market-oriented instruction, research, and extension services.
Batangas State University had also fabricated 3D-printed vacuum-sealed face shields for COVID 19 health workers.
SEND CONGRATULATIONS in the comments below to Batangas State University for hosting the Philippines’ newest Special Economic Zone.
