Hollywood star Joseph Gordon-Levitt wants your beach photos of the Philippines for his next film project to be hosted on the collaborative platform, HitRecord.
The actor-director’s new film project is a follow-up to the recently released short film “The Beauty of the Philippines” that compiled clips, photos, and audio of world-famous Philippine tourist spots, as well as the country’s tradition and culture, that were contributed by Filipino netizens.
Levitt was blown away by the contributions and told netizens to stay tuned for more upcoming projects.
The star is now asking Filipino netizens to submit their best beach photos on HitRecord, an online media platform founded by Levitt and used for collaborations of an online community of writers, filmmakers, musicians, and artists from around the world.
“Looking for photos of BEACHES in the Philippines for a new project! This new project will be a narrative short film…more steps coming soon,” the actor announced on social media on September 23, 2020.
“Really excited for this project. I already know how talented you all are at photography,” Levitt continued.
The next task for Filipino netizens is to fill out the sentence: “The beaches of the Philippines remind me of ____ .”
You can choose to write fiction or true stories for the prompt. The contributions will be remixed into a story for the final script of the video.
Levitt attached a breathtaking view of white-sand Saud Beach in Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte to inspire netizens to contribute to the project.
In a Facebook post dated on September 24, the famous actor also encouraged Filipino netizens to rate their favorite Philippine beach photos submitted to his platform.
“I’ve loved looking through your photos of beaches in the Philippines! Your contributions to this project so far are even more awesome than I’d hoped. If you have a moment, take a look through the photos and click the HEART button on your favorites,” he instructed, along with a photo of a beach in Balabac, Palawan.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt encouraged everyone with good travel photos to participate in his creative film project. You can submit yours here.
The HitRecord founder had previously produced the romantic comedy, Don Jon, in which he also stars.
The Philippines is world-famous for its pristine white sand beaches and crystal clear waters.
The Island of Palawan has been hailed 2020’s “Best Island in the World” by New York’s top-selling Travel+Leisure magazine while its famed Hidden Beach was named Conde Nast Traveler’s among the World’s Best Beaches in 2020.
The El Nido and Boracay beaches were also voted the Travelers Choice Top Beaches in Asia for 2020.
