The Philippines’ restaurant brand Jollibee continues to expand globally with the opening of its first-ever store in Wales, the United Kingdom.
The homegrown international fast-food chain was greeted with long lines when its doors officially opened for the first time in Cardiff’s Queen Street on July 24, 2021.
Jollibee’s first customers reportedly lined up as early as 6 a.m. to get a taste of the brand’s world-famous Chickenjoy and Filipino favorites such as Jolly Spaghetti and Chicken Burgers.
The Jollibee Cardiff branch is open every day from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., with a seating capacity of 124. In line with the brand’s new store design in the U.K., the building is painted a deep purple and one side is covered in a wall mural.
Jollibee’s first store in Wales is part of Jollibee’s plans to open 50 branches in the United Kingdom and Europe by 2025. Jollibee stores are now in Cardiff, Edinburgh, and Madrid.
The popular restaurant chain from the Philippines opened its first store branch in London in 2018, which saw thousands of fans queuing for 18 hours straight.
Jollibee recently opened its European flagship restaurant in London’s West End.
