Jollibee Chickenjoy has been crowned the Best Fried Chicken in America in USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards 2024, showcasing the Filipino fast-food chain’s immense popularity.
The beloved Chickenjoy secured the top spot on USA Today’s 10Best chosen by readers who were asked to vote for the fast-food chain serving the best fried chicken, from a top picks list screened by editors and quick-service dining experts.
The 10Best list was introduced as “You don’t want to miss the fried chicken at these 10 fast food restaurants: Places for a quick, golden bite” and released by USA Today on July 17.
USA Today cites Jollibee for its popularity: “With 100 stores in North America, and more than 1,500 stores internationally, Jollibee is the largest and fastest-growing Asian restaurant company in the world.”
The best-of-list feature pays tribute to the Filipino restaurant’s pride: “They’re best known for Chickenjoy, the signature juicy, flavorful fried chicken. Order it in buckets or accompanied by sides — and don’t forget to dip it in their silky gravy,”

Jollibee Chickenjoy had previously won over the taste buds of editors and writers of notable American food website Eater which proclaimed Chickenjoy the Best Fried Chicken in America. Redbook magazine readers also chose Chickenjoy among the Best Fast-Food Fried Chicken in the United States, while Foodbeast named Jollibee in The Top 10 Fast Food Fried Chicken Joints In The USA.
Jollibee Chickenjoy triumphed over other popular chains such as Pollo Campero (No. 2), Guthrie’s Chicken (No. 3), and Popeyes (No. 5).
Jollibee opened its first U.S. store in Daly City in 1998, 20 years after its founding in the Philippines, and now operates 75 locations across America.
