Miss Philippines Jeanyfer Garvilles Ozbot of Iloilo City gracefully raised the country’s colors on the international beauty pageant stage after winning the Miss Asia Global 2019 2nd Runner-up title in India.
Ilongga beauty Ozbot shined among 25 candidates from all over the world and emerged in the Top 4 titleholders of the Miss Asia Global 2019 pageant held from October 24 to November 1 in Kochi.
Miss Asia Global Philippines 2019 showcased Filipino culture in the international tilt, performed the traditional Yakan dance “Pansak Si Laley” during the talent competition, and wore a modern Filipiniana terno for her national costume created by Jeomel Lamparero Jaleco.
The national costume was designed with native Filipino textile hablon and patadyong, designed with multi-colored feathers, rhinestones and beads, and is said to be inspired from the characteristic of Ozbot as “gratefully confident with extraordinary charisma and bravery”.
The Pinay beauty queen went on social media to express her gratitude to all who supported her in her pageant journey. Ozbot also thanked the Filipino designers who assisted her such as Carlo Simoy for the long gown, Jeomel Lamparero Jaleco for the national costume, and Otet Patrimonio and Jeff Ticao for a cocktail dress and daily wardrobes.
“It is with deepest appreciation and sincere gratitude I say thank you. Thank you kababayan, friends, and family,” the beauty said in her post.
“I Hope I made you all proud! Another Dreams Turn into Reality. Always and forever I will raise our flag, Philippines,” Jeanyfer Ozbot said in a separate post.

Jeanyfer Garvilles Ozbot joins the list of Filipino pageant winners who recently brought pride to the Philippines.
In October, Laguna beauty Leren Mae Baustista was crowned Miss Globe 2019 2nd Runner-up in Montenegro in Europe while Anne Apas of Puerto Princesa City was hailed as Miss Tourism Beauty of the World 2019 1st Runner-up in El Nido, Palawan.
Filipino men also dominated recent inaugural editions of male pageantry with Mark Angelo Avila of Camarines Sur who won the Gentleman of the World 2019 crown in Indonesia and Willy Quinto from Valenzuela City who bagged Mister Working Men International 2019 title in Thailand.
