In this PsTV5+ Barangay New Zealand episode, Pia interviews House of MUSA New Zealand’s catwalk coach and model-advocate artistic director of Flores de MUSA, Raine Symons.
Symons talks about being born and raised in Los Banos, Laguna, and her career in the Philippines as a professional dancer and educator before moving to New Zealand for work and eventually settling in the country. Symons also shares about the House of MUSA New Zealand fashion show with a cause called Flores de MUSA.
Raine is a multi-talented woman renowned in the Latin dance scene in New Zealand.
Based in Palmerston North, she is the Artistic and Creative Director of Raine’s Suavesitas and PAMANLAHI – both dance groups recognized locally and internationally for their creative and energetic performances.

- Senior Dance Member and Teacher for Metropolitan Dance Masters Philippines
- Senior Dance Member and Teacher for UP Dansa and Dansa Philippines
- Passista for Escola de Samba de Manila Dance School
- 8 Seasons of Shall We Dance (Philippines version of Dancing with the Stars – Chanel talent and choreographer
- Guest Performer, dancer, and Choreographer for Parallax Dance Company (Australia)
- Ensemble cast for Ms. Saigon New Zealand Tour
- Choreographer for the musicals Disco Inferno and Alice in Wonderland Jr. in New Zealand.
She is one of the organizers of the New Zealand Latin Dance Championships and is a regular teacher at most Latin dance festivals in the country. She has been a consistent panelist for the group of Judges for the New Zealand Dance Solos, Regional Competitions and South Island Competitions, and The New Zealand Latin Dance Championships.
Raine has been onstage for as long as she could walk and is very comfortable onstage as a performer and as a director for big events and pageants. With her background in Development Broadcasting, Raine has a very commanding stage presence and can either be the Master of Ceremonies, or the Director of an event with ease.
