Marvel Comics writer Greg Pak has teased on social media that he is introducing another new Filipina superhero after the successful debut of WAVE – and that his new co-writer is of Filipino descent.
The first Filipina Marvel superhero, WAVE, was introduced early this year in “War of the Realms: New Agents of Atlas,” and was designed by Filipino comic book artist Leinil Yu.
On July 26, Pak tweeted his hot tip for collectors saying the new Marvel superhero will be presented in AERO #3.

He then followed up his announcement with a tease on writer Alyssa Wong as the first Marvel writer of Filipino descent.
Wong went on Twitter to talk about writing for Wave, “My mom found my interview about writing Wave & sent it to her family in Manila bc she was so excited that I was working on a Filipina superhero… My heart is gonna pop.”
