Got Talent Champion Marcelito Pomoy is giving back blessings to Pinoys affected by the public health crisis due to COVID-19 that has put many areas in the Philippines under lockdown.
The Pilipinas Got Talent Grand Winner and his family went around their Municipality to return the blessings he received during his journey on America’s Got Talent: Champions.
The Filipino singer distributed relief goods containing rice, noodles, sardines, coffee, sugar, and even milk to families of market vendors, street vendors, senior citizens, tricycle drivers, construction workers, and many others.
Pomoy, who gained world fame with his multiple singing voices, also gave a sack of rice and grocery items to their own employees.
The man who has been praised around the world for switching effortlessly between soprano and tenor as he sings says that despite conducting charity events for the last 5 years, he could not imagine the kind of crisis now faced by people.
Last April 20, 2020, Pomoy and his wife Joane, with the help of Sangguniang Barangay and Barangay Health Workers, distributed food assistance and milk to a barangay that has been put under total lockdown status.
“I know this is too risky but thinking about those families who really need food and cannot go out because of the total lockdown so we decided to personally go there and distribute it to them in a complete gear (face mask/face shield/gloves)… all the hesitation, sweat, tiredness and thirst fade away upon seeing their happy faces… thanking us and telling us that this is really big help to them because they don’t know where to get food right now especially that they cannot go out to even work to earn money for food.. and I am very much touched with all of these..” Pomoy posted.
“Small amount when combined can help families who are really affected by this pandemic. God bless us all.. continue praying and believing in God Almighty for He is our Saviour… 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼,” Pomoy Tadded.
On his YouTube vlog on March 28, 2020, Pomoy thanked God and those who have helped him since Pilipinas Got Talent up until America’s Got Talent. He also thanked people who helped his charity event.
“It is not easy to go around but the smile on their faces is more than enough. CoronaVirus has just shut down everything, except for the Glory, Power, and Love of God,” Pomoy posted on social media.
Marcelito Pomoy also asked for three things
“First, I would like to ask everyone to please PRAY.. it is in this time that we really need to be one with our dear Lord Jesus Christ for He is the one who can protect us from every evil that threatens our life…
“Second, I am requesting everyone to please STAY HOME.. please do not roam around and avoid acts that would compromise the spread of the virus. Keeping distance is now an act of care for everyone…
“Third, It is the time for us to help one another especially for those in need. So I am asking your good heart if you have been blessed more than you need for right now.. please let me be your way to help those who are needy.. rest assured that your donation will be distributed to those who are in most need…”
