Philippine television’s GMA Network bagged the most number of awards for the Philippines at the 2019 Asian Academy Creative Awards (AAA) of the Singapore Media Festival.
The Asian Academy Creative Awards released the list of Country/Regional winners on October 15 with the Kapuso Network leading the Philippines with 16 awardees in various categories.
The winners were judged in a peer evaluation as the best entries to represent their country or region in competitions participated in by Australia & New Zealand, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam.

The grand awarding ceremony of the 2019 Asian Academy Creative Awards will take place on December 5 while the Gala Final is on December 6 at The Victoria Theatre, one of Singapore’s grandest and most historic buildings.
The multi-awarded Philippine TV station has been raising the country’s flag in festivals around the world, bagging awards for their video content for news and public affairs and entertainment programs.
Earlier this year, the network took home 4 medal awards from the New York Fest’s “World’s Best TV and Films” held in Las Vegas, Nevada.
GMA Network also snagged 10 major awards and recognition certificates for its news and public affairs shows at the 2019 United States International Film and Video Festival.
GMA’s Reel Time won the Gold Dolphin at the 2019 Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards held in France for its episode titled “Batang Maestro” (Little Teacher).
