Globe is supporting the recently relaunched 8888 text service for Filipino citizens’ complaints direct to the Office of the President of the Philippines.
The 8888 SMS/text service platform, an initiative of the Broadcast Messaging of the OP, is an additional communication channel at the 8888 Citizens’ Complaint Center (8888 CCC), one of the constituent offices of President Rodrigo Duterte’s Strategic Action and Response Office.
The 8888 CCC receives complaints and grievances from the public daily through the 8888 phone hotline. The office, in return, will endorse the concerns and queries of the public to the concerned departments or agencies in the government for immediate action.
The 8888 SMS/text service platform will enhance further the communication between the public and the government when it comes to solutions to their complaints and concerns.
Just recently, the 8888 CCC successfully tested out and launched the 8888 short message services (SMS)/text access as an additional channel at the 8888 CCC. Due to its successful trial run, the 8888 CCC is now available to the public. All they need to do is to text their concerns or complaints to 8888.
Globe urges its customers to support this initiative coming from Malacanang Palace.
“We commend the Office of the President in providing the public another opportunity to send in their concerns, and for the government to answer them right away or guide them towards the national government agency best suited to address their concerns,” said Ernest Cu, Globe President and CEO.
Globe supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, specifically UNSDG No. 9 which emphasizes the roles of infrastructure and innovation as crucial drivers of economic growth and development. Globe is committed to upholding the 10 United Nations Global Compact principles and 10 UN SDGs.
Globe expansion has also brought telemedicine healthcare access to more Filipinos while the Globe KonekTayo School Bus WiFi provides distance learning support to poor communities.
