Globe Telecom today called for its customers to join efforts to provide relief to victims of the Taal Volcano eruption by donating their Globe Rewards points to Rise Against Hunger (RAH) for the purchase of meal packs for the evacuees.

Globe encouraged its customers to “make their Globe Rewards points more meaningful” by donating them to Rise Against Hunger via the Globe Rewards app until February 15, 2020.

The company has been sending relief packs to communities affected by the eruption last January 12, 2020, and is seeking to reach more areas with the help of its loyal customer base.

Globe was able to send relief packs consisting of food, water, and essential toiletries to the following areas:

Alfonso, Cavite
180 families or 900 individuals

Tomas, Batangas and Barangays Banay Banay and Sto. Toribio in Lipa, Batangas.

More and more people and organizations have stepped up relief efforts for areas severely affected by the Taal Volcano eruption, among them, the University of the Philippines community, Basel of The Hungry Syrian Wanderer, ordinary individuals, and social media users.
