Filipino teen karateka Fatima A-Isha Hamsain is now ruling the Under-15 e-Kumite female category as the No. 1 player in the World Rankings.

Hamsain, who earlier climbed to No. 2 after bagging gold in the SportData event in November 2020, went all the way to notch the top spot after her silver-medal win in the recent E-Champions Trophy World Series 3 held on December 3, 2020.

The 14-year-old athlete from Taguig City, registered 255 points in the competition which improved her world ranking points to 1,880, overtaking the former World No. 1 Anna Menzel of Austria by a 100 point gap.

The World No. 1 beat other players in the top 5 from Austria, Ireland, Indonesia, and Germany.

Hamsain is part of the Maharlika Karatedo Kai of the Philippines International club where she is a student of De Los Santos.

The teen athlete had earlier defeated Denmark for the gold in the E-Karate Games 2020 #2 in the U16 Shotokan Individual Female eKata division.
