Filipino dance crew The Package Makers (TPM) has just brought honor and glory to the Philippines after winning the Championship in Singapore’s ultimate dance competition, Super 24.
After a 2nd place finish in last year’s edition, the dance group went back to the competition this year, outshone 29 other crews from various countries, and was eventually proclaimed Open Category Champion during the finals on August 18, 2024, held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
The 25-member group received the judges’ nods with their electrifying hip-hop dance routine accompanied by the song “Bulan” by Filipino singer-rapper, songwriter, and producer from P-pop supergroup SB19, Felip.
TPM also proudly incorporated Filipino elements in their award-winning performance, such as warrior tattoos and native textiles in their costumes.
Meanwhile, Pinoy dance groups Chikletz Family and Lazarus also made it to the finals and ranked 6th and 12th, respectively.
Just last August 13, Filipino dance crews A-Kidz, UPeepz, The Peepz, and HQ also raised the Philippine flag in the United States at the 2024 World Hip Hop Dance Championships.
The A-Kidz and UPeepz were declared world champions of the Varsity Division and Megacrew Division.
The Peepz and HQ secured podium finishes in the Adult Category by winning silver and bronze medals, respectively.
