Filipino folk-pop band Ben & Ben has scored an MTV Europe Music Awards (EMA) nomination for Best Southeast Asian Act.
The popular 9-member band from the Philippines that overtook U.S. artists on the Billboard Social 50 Chart was announced on October 6, 2020, to be among the music industry’s best artists who are vying for the 27th edition of the MTV EMA.
Ben & Ben is competing for the Best Southeast Asian Act award against five other finalists from Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.
The MTV EMA is awarded to artists who get the most votes from fans around the world on mtvema.com and through social media.
Ben & Ben went on social media to ask its fandom “Liwanag” to help them win the MTV EMA.

The MTV Europe awards will be given out on Sunday, November 8, 2020.
