The Philippines’ Miss Trans Global 2020 Mela Franco Habijan is on the cover of TransBeauty Magazine London for the first issue this 2021.
The Filipina beauty titleholder shared with fans the digital copy of her first cover photo for an international magazine in an Instagram post on January 11, 2021.
“It’s so surreal to see myself on the cover of a magazine. It’s my very first and it’s so poetic! I have my crown and sash on, and it’s for Trans Beauty Magazine London,” Mela Habijan wrote about the milestone.
“I’m a Queen. I am Trans. I am Filipina. ❤️🌈🇵🇭” she added.
Habijan earlier bested candidates from all over the world to win the crown for the Philippines during the grand coronation night of the inaugural edition of the Miss Trans Global pageant streamed via YouTube on September 12, 2020.
“I treat the pageant stage as a world where I can be confident, shine, and be my truest self,” Mela Habijan was quoted to have said by TransBeauty Magazine.
The former ABS-CBN writer and actress also bagged other major awards during the event such as “Eloquent Queen of the Year,” “Super Model of the Year,” and “Glam Beauty of the Year.”
Pinay transgender beauty queen Mela Franco Habijan is the first-ever Miss Trans Global titleholder. She will appear in three more upcoming TransBeauty Magazine covers for the year 2021.
The Philippines’ transgender bet, Jess Labares from Ormoc City, bagged the Miss Photogenic award and emerged in the Top 6 finalists of the Miss International Queen pageant held in Thailand while the Filipina-Kiwi Arielle Keil made history as the first transgender woman to win the Miss Intercontinental New Zealand pageant.
