Filipina boxing champion Josie Gabuco fought hard and won the Asian Boxing Championships in Bangkok.
Gabuco, a 4-time Southeast Asian Games gold medalist, won her final Light Flyweight match on April 26 at the Indoor Stadium of the Hua Mark Sports Complex.
The 2012 World Champion was also named Best Female Boxer of the boxing series.
The Philippines finished in the Top 14 out of 34 countries participating in the boxing tournament with Josie Gabuco’s 1 gold, Light heavyweight Fil-Briton John Tupaz Marvin 1 silver, and Bantamweight Ian Clark Bautista’s 1 bronze medal.
Josie went on social media to thank everyone who believed she could win despite all the challenges she faced.
