Filipina golfer Yuka Saso has soared to the Top 20 spot in the Women’s World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) by the end of July 2019.
The 18-year-old Asian Games gold medalist went up 5 notches and registered the biggest leap in the WAGR of July 31.
Yuka Saso is the Top 20 golfer in the Women’s WAGR system that ranks the top female amateur golfers on the basis of their average performance in Counting Events over a rolling cycle of the previous 104 weeks.
Yuka Saso’s world ranking jumped to 1158 average points after she captured the Girls Junior PGA Championship in Hartford, Connecticut in mid-July.
Earlier in April the Filipino teenage champion made a strong showing at the prestigious inaugural Augusta National Women’s Amateur tournament, finishing 3rd overall on the world’s most venerated gold course.
