Popular actress-turned-vlogger Kathryn Bernardo has finally unboxed her YouTube Gold and Silver Play Buttons and dedicated them to her fans and subscribers.
The Box Office Queen started uploading her vlog entries on her YouTube channel Everyday Kath since January 3.
Because of the overwhelming support, Kathryn passed the 100K subscribers in just three hours and reached the one million mark in 16 days.
Now that she finally received both gold and silver play buttons from the California-based online video-sharing platform, the 24-year-old actress went to social media to celebrate her milestone as a content creator.
“My YouTube Silver & Gold Playbuttons have finally arrived and I want to share this moment with you because these were all made possible by your love and support. I cannot thank you enough!!!” the multi-awarded ABS-CBN Kapamilya actress said on her Instagram post on August 7, 2020.
On the same day, the actress and animal welfare advocate also uploaded her unboxing video on her YouTube channel.
“The moment na dumating ‘to (play buttons) gusto ko na (sila) i-open but then I told me na “no.” I have to document this moment,” the actress explained. “Dapat ‘yong pag-unbox ko nito kasama kayo because this is not just my accomplishment. Sa atin ‘to lahat kasi hindi naman mangyayari if not because of you, guys.”
The box office hit movie Hello, Love, Goodbye leading lady also recalled the reasons why she created her channel and the massive support she has been receiving from her fans.
“Why did I create a YouTube channel?” she asked. “Ito ‘yong isang bagay na matagal kong pinag-isipan because, as you all know, ‘di ba? I’m a very private person. Grabe ko pinapahalagahan ‘yong privacy ko so Hindi ko sure kung magiging comfortable ako i-share ‘yong mga nangyayari off-cam.”
Now that her YouTube channel is reaping success, Kathryn uttered doing vlogs was one of the best decisions she made this year.
“But then, alam n’yo, I’m really happy na I did this,” the actress confessed. “I think, isa s’ya sa mga magandang decisions na nagawa ko for 2020 because through my channel mas nakilala n’yo ako. And hindi ko in-expect na ganun ‘yong pag-welcome n’yo sa akin kasi s’yempre, this is a whole new world for me. But grabe, overwhelming ‘yong suporta na nakuha ko from everybody.”
She went on: “Maraming salamat sa lahat nang nag-welcome sa akin. Thank you din sa mga subscribers, sa mga fans, of course, kasi this wouldn’t be possible without you. Totoo ‘yon. So shini-share ko ‘to with all my subscribers.”
To celebrate her milestone, Bernardo also made five prank calls to her five lucky subscribers.
As of this writing, the multi-hyphenate celebrity has 2.24 million subscribers on YouTube.
Aside from her YouTube Play Button, Kathryn Bernardo also holds the distinction of the first Filipina actress who starred in the top 2 highest-grossing Filipino films in history – the “The Hows of Us (THOU)” with love team partner and real-life boyfriend Daniel Padilla, and “Hello, Love, Goodbye (HLG)” with GMA Kapuso actor Alden Richards.
