Filipina actress Carmina Villaroel-Legaspi is giving away tablets for students to help them in their online classes amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Gadgets such as tablets, laptops, and smartphones as well as internet connection are very much needed by Filipino students nowadays as the Department of Education pushes for distant and virtual learning due to the COVID-19 crisis.
The GMA Kapuso artist shared on her social media that she will be distributing 10 tablets for 10 deserving pupils in Metro Manila as her way of giving back to the community in this trying time.
“Hi guys! It’s time to give back,” the Sarap Di Ba? main TV host posted on her social media on August 21, 2020.
“Calling all STUDENTS to join my giveaway!” the 45-year-old celebrity mother continued. “I’ll be choosing 10 lucky winners to win a tablet. GIVEAWAY ENDS: AUGUST 29, 2020 (Saturday). I’ll be announcing the winners in my FACEBOOK PAGE (so if you see your name, don’t forget to check your messages).”
The award-winning actress also shared the simple mechanics for those students who want a chance to win a free tablet.
They just have to follow Carmina’s social media accounts on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram and subscribe to her YouTube channel.
The students also need to post a comment identifying their city and year level in her “How to clean your ref” YouTube video.
“Let’s help and support each other as much as possible during these trying times. Stay Safe Everyone!” the actress concluded.
