The Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle (LADCC) Awards gave the Best Director citation to Jennifer Chang for her work on the 2018 production of “Vietgone.”
Jennifer Chang received the LA critics’ nod for Best Direction of a Play for her work on the East West Players’ (EWP) production during the 50th Anniversary Awards of the LADCC held at Pasadena Playhouse in April.
Vietgone is a musical theatre production retelling the story of two Vietnam War refugees who fall in love in a relocation camp in the United States.
Chang, who proudly shares growing up Filipino and speaking Tagalog, is of Filipino descent with both parents coming from the Philippines – her father is from Jolo, Sulu and her mother is from General Trias, Cavite and Bacolod.
