On Facebook I wrote a story about a pre-pandemic trip, in New York, and a dating app that helped me meet men in the said city.

But also, let’s remember that this temporary situation shouldn’t stop us from pursuing what we want. Or where we want to be.
Let me share a short story, pre-pandemic.💙
I have always wanted to see New York City.
I wanted to roam around, watch broadway and conquer Times Square.
But by the time I was there, I wanted more.😁
I wanted to go out on semi-blind dates and meet my possible match.😍 Something that I will never dare to do back home. 😝
So in 2018, during my visit to NYC, I took the courage to use a dating app called Coffee Meets Bagel. 😳😆
Honestly, I couldn’t figure out if I was doing it out of desperation or adventure or because I didn’t want to limit the possibility of what the Universe has for me.
So after coming to terms with myself, I decided to give it a try. After all, I wrote that I wanted a Half Pinoy on my Vision Board back then. 😊
Only a handful of people knew about this. I guess it’s okay now to share that I went out on a couple of dates using the app 😅.
Well even if I didn’t find my husband thru that app, I knew, it was completely fine.
And that it was part of the process! 😅
I mean, there is no shame in wanting to try out different ways just to see what will work out eventually.
To be honest, I believe those dates made me understand myself better. And actually got me closer to finding my now husband. 🥰
