De La Salle University has officially announced the finalists for the 2025 Lasallian Scholarum Awards (LSA), the prestigious annual recognition honoring outstanding media coverage on youth and education. Now in its 20th year, the LSA celebrates the impactful storytelling of journalists across print, online, and television platforms.
Since its inception in 2004, the LSA has been a prestigious platform championing truth-seekers and media practitioners covering stories that inspire, inform, and advocate for the Filipino youth. This year’s awarding ceremony, themed “Hayag” is set to take place on March 13, 2025, at the DLSU Manila Campus.
There are four LSA categories for the country’s journalists, with the winners to receive a one-of-a-kind Toym De Leon Imao sculpture. The awarding ceremony will also give recognition to campus papers.
In partnership with the Student Media Office, LSA will also feature the recipient of the Outstanding Media Personality, voted by DLSU campus journalists.
The Golden Jubilee of DLSU’s University Charter coincides with the 20th Anniversary of the Lasallian Scholarum Awards, and to celebrate this, a new category is to be introduced – Outstanding Feature Film on Youth and Education. This new platform promotes the transformative power and impact of films in our lives, especially on the youth and education sectors.
