Danish pop star Maximillian is treating Pinoy fans around the globe to a new version of his viral 2019 mega-hit “Beautiful Scars” featuring Filipino singer-songwriter Moira Dela Torre.
Maximillian teamed up with one of the Philippines’ most-streamed female artists for the song’s acoustic version which was released just in time for New Year’s Eve, January 1, 2021, with a surprise duet from the two during the BYE 2020 virtual concert.
“Happy New Year Philippines!!! I’m beyond excited to share the new version of Beautiful Scars featuring the very lovely Moira Dela Torre! I hope you all love it and share it with your loved ones. Maraming Salamat!” Maximillian wrote in a Facebook post.
“I’ve always wondered what Beautiful Scars would sound like with female vocals and now I know! Thank you so much Moira Dela Torre,” said the international hitmaker.
Young Danish singer-composer Maximillian, who has a large Filipino fanbase, says the soulful chart-topper is dedicated to those who have had struggles in the past and hopes that more people will be inspired to “embrace their flaws.” Last year, the triple-platinum single became part of Spotify Philippines’ Most Streamed Songs.
The 27-year-old Filipino sensation Moira Dela Torre also announced her first-ever international collaboration through MCA Music with the global hitmaker on New Year’s Day.
“IT’S OUT! So excited to finally share that my first International collaboration is now out on all digital platforms WORLDWIDE. I hope you’ll love this new version of Beautiful Scars with [Maximillian] and I,” says Moira Dela Torre. “Thank you so much, Max, for making 2021 so special already!”
The Original Pilipino Music (OPM) artist Moira Dela Torre rose to fame after joining The Voice Philippines. She is known for hits “Paubaya”, “Tagpuan”, and “Ikaw at Ako.”
Disney earlier picked Moira Dela Torre to record for local release a version of the song “Reflection” from the hit animation movie, Mulan, originated by Broadway star Lea Salonga.
