The Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) is all set to host six choral champions from across Asia who is coming to Manila for the first Asia Choral Grand Prix (ACGP).
The 1st Asia Choral Grand Prix will have the 6 top prize winners of the 2017 and 2018 international choral festivals in Asia vying for the Grand Prix title on July 21, 2019.
Each participating choir will perform at the Tanghalang Nicanor Abelardo (CCP Main Theater) for 20 minutes before a jury of five internationally renowned adjudicators.
The participating choirs are festival champions from the following competitions:
Singapore International Choral Festival (Singapore)
- St. Louis High School Choir (Indonesia)
- Vocalista Harmonic Choir ISI from Yogyakarta (Indonesia)
Bali International Choir Festival (Indonesia)
- Paduan Suara Mahasiswa Universitas Padjadjaran (Indonesia)
- E Deum Voice (Indonesia)
Andrea O. Veneracion International Choral Festival (Philippines)
- University of the Philippines Los Baños Choral Ensemble (Philippines)
- Brawijaya University Student Choir (Indonesia)
As a prelude to the competition, the 6 champion choral groups will perform for the public in simultaneous concerts in 6 cultural heritage and architectural landmark in Metro Manila on Saturday, July 20:

The Asia Choral Grand Prix is jointly organized by the artistic and festival directors of the three competitions.
The 1st ACGP will coincide with the last day of the Philippines’ 4th Andrea O. Veneracion International Choral Festival which will be held at the Cultural Center of the Philippines from July 18 to 21.
The ACGP will be held every two years starting in 2019. The first will be hosted by the Philippines and will take place at the Cultural Center of the Philippines. The next ACGP will be held in Indonesia in 2021, and in Singapore in 2023.
