Filipino-American Clint Ramos was awarded the 2019 Obie for Set Design for Wild Goose Dreams by The Public Theater.
This is Ramos’ second Obie after he won Sustained Excellence of Costume Design in 2013.
The University of the Philippines Dulaang UP alumnus went on social media to share his excitement, writing, “Unbelievable two days to be a set and costume designer”. Ramos received his Obie Award on May 20 and was feted at the 2019 Tony nominees lunch on May 21 together with fellow Filipino nominees Robert Brill and Eva Noblezada.

The set and costume designer’s scenic design was cited by Village Voice Obie Awards judges “for wrapping the entire Martinson Theater in the streets of Seoul Korea putting the audience on a journey between the worlds of the north and south, on and off the internet, bringing us from the bedrooms to the bridges to the dreamscapes in between”.
SEND your cheery congratulations to Clint Ramos, the Filipino winner at the 64th Annual Obie Awards for Broadway Theater!
