Champion weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz is going online to conduct a weightlifting seminar for participants who will donate to the COVID-19 relief fund.
Diaz will conduct the online weightlifting seminar via Zoom app.
The donations will be used in the Pandemic Relief in the Philippines that will provide food packages for families affected by the community quarantine that has stopped regular work to stop the spread of COVID-19.
Diaz made the announcement in her social media accounts on April 6, 2020.
“I’m doing this to do my part as a Filipino and to share my passion, experiences, and knowledge in weightlifting.” Diaz wrote.
The online weightlifting seminar will be held on April 12, 2020 at 9 am UTC +8 Philippine Time. You can register in this link.
Diaz also released a video on April 7 giving tips for weightlifting exercise even without barbells and using bamboo stick and two big bottles of water.

Stability and core na rin,” Diaz wrote in the caption.
The Philippines’ top lifter swept the women’s 55-kilogram events to win 3 gold medals at the Roma 2020 Weightlifting World Cup.
Diaz together with world champion gymnast Carlos Yulo and boxer Nesthy Petecio led the gold medalists of the 30th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games honored by the Philippine Sportswriter Association.
Another athlete who gives online training is Filipino-American teen trainer Ryan Ang. Ang live streams over social media to provide free Ang1 Trainings on ball handling to his students and anyone interested in basketball.
