The Philippines is welcoming the 2025 Year of the Wood Snake with a series of vibrant events and cultural celebrations, including the unveiling of PHLPost’s special Year of the Snake postage stamps and a traveling stamp exhibition. Highlights include the Prosperity Trail at Robinsons Malls, featuring zodiac-themed displays, and a grand celebration at Lucky Chinatown Mall, all designed to honor the rich heritage of Chinese New Year and foster community unity.

The newly launched stamps feature vibrant designs inspired by the Chinese Zodiac, symbolizing wisdom, transformation, and prosperity. Alongside the unveiling, the Philippine Philatelic Federation Inc. opened a stamp exhibition highlighting fascinating Chinese Zodiac stamps in collaboration with Robinsons Malls.
In Chinese mythology, the Snake is associated with wisdom, intuition, creativity, good fortune, and renewal. Postmaster General Luis D. Carlos emphasized these traits: “We wish everyone peace, prosperity, and luck for the coming New Year. Like the serpent’s wisdom and resilience, good governance is about adaptability, foresight, and the ability to build trust with the people we serve.”
