Eleven-year old Cebuano karter William John Riley finished in first place at the second leg of the 2019 Asian Karting Open Championships’ Mini ROK in Macau.
The 2018 X30 Southeast Asia Karting Champion finished the race within 12 minutes and 28.513 seconds over 13 spins around the 1.2-kilometer track. Riley bested China’s Ye Ruiheng who posted the fastest clip of 57.011 in the final lap by a mere 0.279 seconds.
Riley’s fellow Filipino racer and Asian champion, Bianca Bustamante, placed second in her Formula junior class race.
Filipino karter Arvin Drueco finished third in the Formula 125 Masters while Puerto Princesa City’s pride William Tan placed fourth in the Formula 125 veterans class.
The June 29-30 races held in Kartodomo de Coloane is the second round of the Asian Karting Open Championships. Here are the schedules of the next rounds:

- ROUND 4 November 9-10, RKK Speedkart Circuit, Changmai, Thailand
