Helping Taal Volcano evacuees has just gotten a little easier with tollway corporations giving out passes to motorists on their way to bring help to the displaced families in Batangas and Cavite.
Cavitex Infrastructure Corporation (CIC) and its joint venture partner Philippine Reclamation Authority (PRA) announced the toll-free passage on January 22 while South Luzon Expressway (SLEx) and Southern Tagalog Arterial Road (STAR) started giving Free Single Exit Pass on January 20 to private vehicles who are delivering relief goods to the evacuees.
“This is to support various Government Agencies and Private Groups and Individuals on their relief operations” CIC said.
Cavitex announced on their social media the process of getting a free pass:
SMC Tollways posted the following infographic for steps on how vehicles bound for the Taal disaster relief centers can get the free passage on SLEX and STAR tollways.

Various groups and individuals – ordinary people, celebrities, organized groups, private and public agencies have banded together to gather the basic living necessities and have been bringing help to the thousands of evacuees displaced by the Taal Volcano eruption on January 12, 2020. People have been unable to go home as the Taal Volcano remains on Alert Level 4 with the possibility of violent eruptions.
Among the volunteers who are bringing relief to the thousands of families are the Art Relief Mobile Kitchen volunteer cooks who serve hot meals in evacuation centers, the University of the Philippines community, Angel Locsin and many other celebrities.
PLEASE SEND HELP to Taal Volcano evacuees through any of the above-mentioned volunteer groups.
